The Fantastic Library’s Golden Kitten Award – for… Cat!
Awards for books, movies and important deeds are a dime a dozen. Really! But there is on award which should have existed long ago, if only humans were not so self-centered. When Lilar, our designer’s cat pulled our attention to this terrible historic oversight, we decided it was time to put things right… or at least start to. Therefore, we are honored to present the first Golden Kitten Award, which will be annually awarded to the most fantastic cat for being… well, just for being. It is not as if mere humans can actually judge cats. And so…
In the fantastic cat cat-egory, the Winner of the Fantastic Library's Golden Kitten Award, is Pig, the heroine of The True Meaning of Smekday, by Adam Rex, published by Utz Publishing House.
Pig, the heroine of the biography The True Meaning of Smekday, joins her pet girl, Tip, and together the two, with a little help from an alien named J-lo, go on a mission to save the earth from alien invaders who have come to conquer it. Truth be told, Pig would have probably managed by herself, but that how she is – a generous cat, and for this we show our gratitude.
